Moolans Family Mart opened in north Chalakudy

The Moolans Group opened the 10th outlet of the Moolans Family Mart in north Chalakudy on April 11, 2022. Rev. Fr Jose Palatti offered prayers. T. J. Saneesh Kumar Joseph, MLA, inaugurated the outlet. V. O. Pailappan, chairman, Chalakudy Municipality, lit the traditional lamp to mark the opening. Joy Moothedan of the Traders Organizing Committee inaugurated the first sale. C. S. Suresh, LDF Parliamentary Party Leader, Chalakudy, launched the Privilege Card. Saju Moolan welcomed the gathering. Jose Moolan proposed a vote of thanks. Those present on the occasion included K. S. Ashokan, Area Secretary, CPI(M), Eby George, Block President, Indian National Congress, and P. M. Vijayan, Secretary, Chalakudy Assembly Constituency Committee, CPI. The 10,000 sq. ft outlet provides the best grocery experience and has ample parking space. It sells a range of food products, frozen food, jewelry, bags, and branded and non-branded goods. It has a multi-cuisine restaurant, Shawarmer.

Moolans Mart's 10th Outlet is Now Open in North Paravoor

The Moolans Group opened the 10th outlet of Moolans Family Mart in North Paravoor on August 22, 2024. Rev. Dr. Jose Puthiyedath offered prayers. Beena Sasidharan, Chairperson of Paravoor Municipality, inaugurated the outlet. S. Sharma, former Electricity Minister, lit the traditional lamp to mark the opening. D. Rajkumar, Ward Councilor, conducted the first sale, while Gopal Pai made the first purchase. M. J. Raju, Vice Chairman of Paravoor Municipality, Nitin T. V., Opposition Leader and Girish G., BJP Parliamentary Party Leader, extended their greetings. Moolans Family Mart continues to delight customers with quality-offerings.

Homes for the homeless

The Moolans Group Charitable Society has built and donated 14 houses to the homeless in Ernakulam district under its Home for the Homeless project. The group has launched the project in memory of its founders Devassy Moolan and Elia Devassy. Each 500 sq ft house has modern amenities. The initiative by the Moolans Group coincides with the Kerala government’s efforts to alleviate acute poverty. In 2021, the Local Self-Government Department appointed a committee to prepare guidelines for a survey to identify five lakh of the poorest families in Kerala. The beneficiaries of the survey will be categorised on the basis of risk factors including homelessness, landlessness, and destitution.

Traditional fervor marks Onam celebrations

Onam was celebrated with traditional fervor and gaiety at various units of the Moolans Group in 2021. Workers with the Moolans Group gathered on the eve of Thiru Onam and celebrated the festival following stringent COVID protocols. Cultural programmes were held. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, celebrations and gatherings had remained subdued. The government issued a set of guidelines in 2021 to ensure COVID-19 protocols are followed.

COVID relief kits distributed

The Moolans Group has distributed 2,000 relief kits in Ernakulam district of Kerala since the outbreak of the pandemic. The kits include essentials. The group wanted to do its bit to alleviate the suffering of families affected by the pandemic.

Moolans Family Mart opened in Kothamangalam

The Moolans Group opened an outlet of the Moolans Family Mart at Kothamangalam in Ernakulam district of Kerala on October 27, 2020. K. K. Tomy, Municipal Chairman, Kothamangalam, inaugurated the outlet. P. A. M. Basheer, Present, Block Panchayat, Kothamangalam, lit the traditional lamp to mark the opening. Rev. Fr Thomas Cheruparambil, Vicar, Cathedral Church, Kothamangalam, and Rev. Fr Thomas Moolan C. M., Rector (Retd), Vincentian Congregation, led the blessing ceremony. K. A. Noshad, Standing Committee Chairman and Ward Councillor, Kothamangalam, inaugurated the first sale. The 12,000 sq. ft outlet has a wide range of groceries, food products, fish, meat, homeware, electronic products, and branded and non-branded goods. Petals deals in jewelry and accessories. Bake Art sells a range of baked products. Choose from a menu of lip-smacking chicken dishes from the Chickey’s outlet at the family mart.
